Over the five days of the trade fair, 985 exhibitors from 46 countries showcased their product diversity in Düsseldorf, attracting 49,115 visitors from 149 countries to the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital to see the latest innovations from around the globe for themselves. Both exhibitors and visitors were extremely satisfied with the discussions held.
The trade fair brought together the global baking industry for five days on 100,000 square metres. iba covered the entire spectrum - from craftsmanship, digitalisation, automation solutions and production to energy-efficient ovens, refrigeration and packaging through to food trends and raw materials.
„iba 2025 was an industry gathering that I will remember for a long time: Over the past five days, I have experienced with enthusiasm how passionate the bakery trade - both nationally and internationally - can be. We saw outstanding work at the competitions, had great discussions with colleagues and took home a lot of interesting and inspiring information. Once again, it was clear that the baking industry thrives on dialogue. I am already looking forward to iba in Munich in 2027.“
Roland Ermer, President of the Central Association of the German Bakery Trade
More than every second visitor was a decision-maker - specifically 62.6 per cent of trade visitors, as reported by Dieter Dohr, Chairman of the Management Board of GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen, explains. The Düsseldorf location has also provided fresh impetus: it has opened up new target groups from neighbouring regions and countries, both nationally and internationally.
Strong supporting programme
The iba.FORUM and the iba.STAGE, with around 50 presentations and 70 speakers, were the hub for knowledge exchange and met with great interest, the report continues. The next iba will take place from 24 to 28 October 2027 in Munich and then again every three years.
