An exciting story is currently unfolding at the Bochum office of EcoFinia GmbH, the company behind the vegan organic chocolate brand iChoc. Thanks to an attentive teenager and several coincidences, the organic manufacturer is now producing its first own vegan chocolate from American megastar Billie Eilish.

It all began in March 2019 with a story on Instagram, in which Billie Eilish shows the interior of her tour bus at the time. Among the other favourite products on board: the iChoc varieties „Classic“ and „Almond Orange“. When the US singer holds the chocolate up to the camera, 14-year-old Karla from Hamburg - a big iChoc and Billie fan - immediately lets her favourite chocolate know. Two years later, a limited batch of Billie Eilish chocolates rolls off the production line. Naturally in Billie's favourite flavour „Classic“. Pure plant-based chocolate with a rice drink base.

„Like us, Billie is a man of conviction. She has been vegan for years, has is highly aware of climate protection and has a strong opinion in public. This makes her a role model for many young people and sensitises them to these important issues“, explains EcoFinia Managing Director Andreas Meyer the common denominator.

In an Instagram story, Billie Eilish explains that she discovered and fell in love with iChoc in an organic market in Berlin. Since then, iChoc has been a constant companion, at least on her European tours - as the German chocolate is not yet available in the USA. This gave rise to the idea of her own vegan Billie Eilish chocolate, which initially available as a limited edition for the current album „Happier Than Ever“ was. It was sold out in Billie's online shop after just a short time. Billie explains on Instagram just how much fun the collaboration with iChoc is: „I [...] want people to know how good vegan goods can be! I love them for doing this with me, what a dream.“
