What a nice idea from India, which has been hit so hard by coronavirus. Manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser (RB) honours so-called „Covid heroes“ on Dettol brand soap bottles.
The idea was born at the height of the Covid wave. RB's marketing team wanted to honour the people who have dedicated themselves to the cause despite the risk of being infected themselves. A call from Prime Minister Modi's government was consistently followed through: „Banega swachh India“ meaning India will become clean. The company turned this into: „Banega Swasth India“, loosely translated, India must become healthy.
In a social media campaign, 100 people were selected to have their stories featured on the labels of Dettol bottles.
