Cologne-based Inficon GmbH is contributing two „Contura S400“ leak testers to the „Robotik Pack-Line“ at „Anuga FoodTec“. Inficon emphasises that the non-destructive testing system will be presented for the first time in the new inline version for packaging lines.
At the stand of the Robotics Pack-Line„ team network“ a Modularised packaging line per day 1,000 „Travel snack boxes“ packaging. The task of the Inficon component is to randomly check the tightness of the packaging during operation.
The two „Contura S400“ devices check the Tightness of the packaging, by creating a vacuum in the test chamber and then measuring any changes in pressure within seconds. As the test is non-destructive, packaging that is found to be good can be reintegrated into the further processing procedure.
The „Contura S400“ was developed for the testing of various Types of food packaging optimised. It can be integrated into fully automated systems via the serial interface. However, stand-alone use with manual loading is also possible. At „Anuga FoodTec“, Inficon offers visitors the opportunity to bring their own packaging and have it tested for leaks directly on site.
