At drupa in Düsseldorf, Fujifilm will be showcasing its imprinting systems with fast drop-on-demand technology. The solutions are suitable for direct mail graphics printing, transactional printing, paper packaging, flooring, commercial printing, folding cartons and corrugated board.
The new DE1024 Digital Embellishment Printbar System is used for the digital embellishment (spot varnishing or similar) of labels, folding cartons, flexible packaging and other types of packaging. It is Can be integrated directly into label printing or other narrow web machines and precisely places spectacular highlights or haptic effects on pre-printed materials. By integrating this function into the printing press, the tedious coordination of analogue finishing during further processing is avoided.
On the drupa is also the first time that the imprint system Fujifilm 42X Printbar System, which is used in conjunction with the X-BAR Universal Controller from Kao Collins for workflow optimisation. The Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions product portfolio comprises seven imprint systems for Four-colour printing, commercial printing, labels, finishing and customer-specific standalone solutions. The systems improve workflow efficiency with proprietary printhead technologies such as the Fujifilm SAMBA and Dimatix StarFire SG1024, producing high-quality prints at speeds of up to 549 metres per minute.
The Fujifilm 46kUV Printbar, an integrated Printing solution for a wide range of labels and packaging materials, is equipped with the highly regarded Fujifilm SAMBA print head. It works on a drop-on-demand principle with UV ink and ensures an optimal workflow with industry-leading print speeds of up to 152 metres per minute. With the X-BAR you can Upgrade analogue printing machines for digital printing of barcodes, text modules, logos and other variable data. It is available in four and nine inch print widths for part and full page printing and supports IJPDS and PDF. Its familiar and intuitive interface requires little training. The X-BAR system is very reliable and does not require regular maintenance.
For OEMs with special requirements that cannot be met by standard machines, Fujifilm offers Customised digital inkjet web presses. The configurable inkjet presses from Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions can be configured as simplex or duplex presses for black and white or four-colour printing with aqueous or UV inks and are suitable for a wide range of printing applications including transactional printing, direct mail, labels, loose-leaf, folding cartons, mailings, security printing and catalogues.
