Inspection specialist Mesutronic is taken over by Indus Holding

Indus Holding AG intends to acquire 89.9 per cent of the shares in Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH, a developer and manufacturer of inspection systems. The takeover is part of a company succession plan. Mesutronic will continue to operate independently.

Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH & Co. KG is to be sold. Indus Holding AG intends to acquire 89.9 per cent of the shares in the developer and manufacturer of inspection systems, it was announced at the end of May. The takeover, which still has to be approved by the cartel office, is part of a company succession plan.

Mesutronic is based in Kirchberg im Wald and was founded in 1992. According to its own information, the company is one of the leading providers of systems for Metal and foreign object detection for industrial applications. In 2018, Mesutronic achieved a turnover of over 24 million euros. The company employs 200 people at sites in Germany and France.

Previous owners remain largely in the company

The majority of the previous owners of the company will retain a stake in Mesutronic. The company will continue to be managed independently, and the former management will continue the integration into the Indus-Group, the press release explains further.
