At the world's leading trade fair for the process industry, groninger will be showcasing flexible solutions for processing liquid pharmaceuticals, non-sterile medicines and healthcare products. The manufacturer of filling and capping technology is focussing in particular on modular systems.
Under the motto „Inspiring - sustainable - connections”, the Achema from 10 to 14 June in Frankfurt am Main will provide exciting insights into industry trends in the process industry. The mechanical engineering company groninger will be showcasing its latest generation of fully automated and flexible machine solutions as well as current industry trends on 360 square metres.
„We are looking forward to presenting our customers and partners with our innovations from groninger at Achema,“ says Jens Groninger, Managing Partner of the family-owned company of the same name. „The flexfill, the gloveless filling system robocell and our innovative flexcare101 are just a selection of the highlights that can be experienced live and in colour at the trade fair,“ summarises Volker Groninger, also Managing Partner of groninger.
The flexcare101 is a machine line specially designed for the Sterile filling of OTC products and diagnostics was developed. „It is a further development of our existing flexcare line, which we have already been successfully marketing for several years,“ explains Otto Helmle, Sales Manager for the groninger Consumer Healthcare and Cosmetics division. The special features of this system are both the selection of processed materials and the possible process steps that can be mapped on the system.
„We meet the high requirements of the cleanroom classes, which is why the flexcare101 is ideal for processing sensitive products such as nasal sprays or eye drops that need to be filled under hygienic and low-particle conditions.“
Jens Groninger explains the context: „The industries in which we operate place very high demands on us - and rightly so. From the pharmaceutical industry, we know the strict requirements for safety, flexibility and avoidance of rejects for many years now.“ Otto Helmle confirms that this development is also increasingly being recognised in the processing of OTC preparations: „Our customers are increasingly demanding GMP-compliant machines that are easy to clean and absolutely flexible - with improved product quality at the same time.“ The latest system from the flexcare family more than fulfils these requirements. „We are benefiting here from our expertise from the pharmaceutical world, which we are transferring to our consumer healthcare division,“ says Volker Groninger.
Gloveless for more product protection
Another focal point at Achema will be the robocell - a Fully automated filling line for processing small batch sizes without manual intervention, as used in cell and gene therapy, for example. Thanks to the use of robot technology and the complete absence of external intervention, the system offers optimum product and operator protection. It therefore fulfils the highest hygiene standards and complies with the latest pharmaceutical regulations.
„The robocell sets new standards in the pharmaceutical market. The two years since its market launch have confirmed this. Interest in groninger's most innovative system continues to be enormous and is far from abating,“ says Dirk Schuster, Sales Manager for groninger's pharmaceutical division. Visitors can therefore look forward to exciting insights into this award-winning technology.
„The demand for systems for aseptic and sterile filling continues unabated - as does the desire for maximum safety and flexibility,“ summarises Jens Groninger, adding: „We reacted early on and developed an extremely flexible system with our flexfill. Flexible production line based on preconfigured modules which we certainly don't want to withhold from our visitors at this year's Achema.“ The system works according to the modular principle, meaning that it can be customised to the customer's individual needs and is therefore perfectly suited to the increasingly fast and complex pharmaceutical industry, explains Jens Groninger.
„Depending on requirements, various preconfigured modules can be combined with each other to customise the system. This drastically reduces the time it takes to start production - an important competitive factor,“ explains Schuster. There is also flexibility in the use of packaging materials, as syringes as well as vials and cartridges can be processed in the nest on flexfill lines. The Conversion is quick and tool-free. „In this way, we open up a wide range of applications for our customers and offer them the opportunity to react flexibly to market demand,“ summarises Schuster.
In addition to hardware, software is also increasingly contributing to a competitive advantage in industry - the keyword here is „digital solutions and services“. „At groninger, we summarise what we mean by the digitalisation of industrial processes that really offer our customers added value under the keyword „visionX“,“ emphasises Jens Groninger. Examples of this include smart applications such as a Real-time data acquisition and visualisation, condition monitoring systems or advanced analytics solutions.
„visionX goes far beyond conventional digital tools because the data that is collected is analysed intelligently. This allows correlations to be identified and potential problems to be recognised at an early stage - before they arise.“
groninger will be demonstrating how visionX can be used at its stand at flexcare101 and flexfill.
