On 16 June, the winner of PIDA Germany 2021, Billerud Korsnäs' international design competition, will be announced.
Every year, the Packaging Impact Design Award encourages hundreds of students to break with convention and develop creative packaging. The company has launched PIDA - an initiative that aims to promote young talent and drive forward the development of packaging design.
The competition is now in its 16th year and this year's motto is "Awaken the senses - packaging that touches our senses". The challenge for the students is to develop packaging that not only appeals to the eye, but also activates all the other senses - hearing, smelling, tasting and touching. Touching all the senses is a growing trend in packaging design.
