Applications are now open for the International FoodTec Award, which the DLG (German Agricultural Society) has organised for the tenth time. The prestigious technology prize honours pioneering innovation projects from companies in the food and supply industry.
With the International FoodTec Award, the DLG, together with its partners, recognises pioneering developments with regard to Innovation, sustainability and Efficiency in the area of Food technology. Innovations from the fields of process technology, including measurement and control technology, automation and robotics, filling and packaging technology, environmental technology, biotechnology, process management including software solutions, logistics, food safety and quality management are eligible. An international jury of experts from the fields of research and education as well as representatives from the field will select the most advanced concepts.

The International FoodTec Award 2018 will be presented in the form of gold and silver medals. With a Gold medal products with a new concept are honoured if their function has changed significantly and their use enables a new process or significantly improves a known process. Silver medals are awarded to products that have been further developed in such a way that a significant improvement in function or process is achieved.
