interpack 2026 opens ticket shop and names first exhibitors

Messe Düsseldorf has launched the ticket shop for interpack 2026 and is revealing details of the programme, focal points and participating companies for the first time. The industry get-together for Processing & Packaging will take place in Düsseldorf from 7 to 13 May 2026.

The organisers locate the trade fair against the backdrop of a "profound transformation" with topics such as artificial intelligence, automation, new regulations and future skills. "interpack 2026 is more important than ever," says interpack Director Thomas Dohse quoted.

Growth markets and categorisation of the industry

According to the press release, the outlook in the core food and pharmaceutical markets remains positive: global sales of packaged food amounted to 872 million tonnes in 2024 and are expected to rise to 968 million tonnes by 2029. In the pharmaceutical market, an increase of 24 per cent is expected from a production value of 1.9 trillion euros in 2024 to 2029. At the same time, raw materials are expensive, regulations are complex and supply chains are uncertain.

"Especially in this dynamic market situation, a global summit such as interpack is a key source of inspiration," says Richard Clemens, Managing Director of the VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association. The solutions presented are designed to conserve resources along the value chain, make processes more efficient and ensure competitiveness.
