IPACK-IMA, which will take place in Milan from 4 to 7 May 2021, is on track. The trade fair organiser Ipack-Ima SRL reports that around 16 % more exhibitors have already registered compared to the same time before the last edition in 2018. The trade fair for the processing and packaging of food and non-food takes place every three years.
"A year and a half before the start of the trade fair, numerous companies have already confirmed their participation," said Valerio SoliChairman of Ipack Ima srl. "They will return to Milan in 2021 because they believe in the strength of our exhibition project with its excellent position in all business communities and consider the event extremely important for the development of their business in Italy and abroad. The first step of the exhibitor acquisition campaign brought a total of 16% growth compared to 2018 and a particularly strong strong increase in the number of foreign exhibitors by 56%. In the food sector, we are seeing a growth trend in all business areas, including results well above expectations (+61%) for MEAT-TECH, the thematic exhibition for solutions and ingredients for the meat, sausage, seafood and ready meals industry, confirming its leading role."
Trade fair to become more international

Non-food area gains in importance
In addition to the established key sectors in the food sector, the Non-food area will be given more space and importance in the upcoming edition of the trade fair. "In view of the positive initial response and interest in the new Pharma & Nutritional business community, we are examining the possibility of giving the non-food sector, which will include personal care and household products as well as fine and speciality chemicals, a Whole hall to dedicate ourselves to this," explains Soli.
Special area IPACK-Mat to be expanded
