With over 70,000 trade visitors and more than 1,600 exhibitors, Ipack-Ima set new standards together with Pharmintech. The Milan trade fair became the innovation hub for packaging and processing technology - with a specific focus on synergies, sustainability and intelligent technology.

Ipack-Ima 2025, together with Pharmintech, has impressively confirmed its role as one of the leading European platforms for process and packaging technology: After four intensive days, the trade fair recorded 70,560 trade visitors, 22,579 of whom came from abroad (+22 % compared to 2018); 1,300 exhibitors at Ipack-Ima alone, 38 % of whom were international.

A particular highlight was three complete, live production lines - for flexible packaging, beverages and coffee - which set new standards for automated production and intersectoral collaboration, according to the report.

The processing sector also grew significantly: in addition to the traditional focus on packaging, numerous international suppliers from the food, non-food and pharmaceutical industries were also present, reflecting the increasing integration of processing and packaging.

Technology meets culture of innovation

At the Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre, the trade fair experience was deliberately staged as a „cultural innovation platform“: Mechanics meets design, digitalisation meets AI, materials meet automation. According to the organisers, this mix made the trade fair „more than just a business platform“.

The next Ipack-Ima will take place from 29 May to 1 June 2028 instead.
