Beverages and liquid foods in focus at IPACK-IMA

IPACK-IMA, the international trade fair for food and non-food processing and packaging, will take place at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre in Milan from 3 to 6 May. Liquid food and beverages will be a focal point.

IPACK-IMA, the international trade fair for food and non-food processing and packaging, will take place as planned at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre in Milan from 3 to 6 May. This year's focus will be on liquid food and beverages.

IPACK-IMA 2022 will showcase innovations in technologies such as liquid and beverage filling, blow moulding machines, labelling and capping systems, end-of-line solutions and sustainable packaging materials. One focus will be on liquid food and beverages. According to the trade fair organiser, the market has a current value of around 1.5 billion euros and will grow by an average of 3.3 per cent per year worldwide from 2021 to 2025.

This year's focus will also be on Materials for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging which are represented at the trade fair by over 200 companies from this sector. They will be presenting their intelligent or eco-design-inspired packaging and solutions under IPACK-Mat, the IPACK-IMA-brand for sustainable materials and packaging.

The trade fair will also feature the WorldStar Packaging Awards of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). In addition, the Best Packaging Awards are presented in cooperation with the Italian Packaging Institute. Italian excellence among manufacturers and users of packaging materials be honoured.
