Ishida Europe has opened a new „Centre of Excellence“ in Čestlice near Prague. The branch offers extended services for Central and Eastern Europe and addresses the increasing demand for automation in the food industry.
Ishida Europe is further expanding its presence in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region with the opening of a new site in Čestlice, south-east of Prague. The modern facility offers over 1,000 square metres of space for training, pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and application-specific tests with customer products. This is the company's response to the increasing demand for automation solutions in food processing and packaging.
Until now, customers from the region had to rely on more distant locations such as Birmingham, Schwäbisch Hall or even Kyoto. With the new centre in the Czech Republic, these services can now be provided within the CEE region. According to Ishida, this should significantly improve customer service and reduce logistical costs at the same time.
Customer proximity through practical on-site services
„With the new branch, we can reach a market of around 200 million people within a day,“ said Wim Hermans, Regional General Manager for North East Europe. He emphasised the importance of the location's proximity for pre-delivery inspections and training as well as for customer-specific machine adaptations.
The new facility features Ishida's full product portfolio, including multihead weighers, flow wrappers, tray sealers, graders, X-ray and leak detection systems and checkweighers. Large customised systems can also be commissioned and tested on site.
State-of-the-art technical equipment
Under the direction of Site manager Petr König the fully renovated building was equipped with an industrial washing system, flexible feed systems for production simulation and special test facilities. This is complemented by modern meeting rooms and services such as proof-of-concept tests, X-ray inspections, machine demonstrations, repairs and training courses.
