With the acquisition of the Swedish company RobotGrader AB, Ishida Europe is setting an example in the direction of more automated packaging solutions for the food industry. Ishida is thus expanding its technological expertise in robot-assisted weighing, sorting and packaging technology - particularly for fresh products from the protein sector.
Manufacturers of protein products can now turn to Ishida Europe for smart and highly automated solutions to accurately pack their fresh products in trays - with optimal service and comprehensive support throughout the project.
Integration for more efficiency and service
The long-standing partnership between the two companies - Ishida has been the exclusive sales partner for RobotGrader in Europe since 2014 - has now culminated in a full takeover. For existing customers, this means above all: better availability of spare parts, direct access to expert knowledge and end-to-end service from a single source.
RobotGrader, founded by Sverre Stenbom and based in Mölndal (Sweden), specialises in intelligent robotic systems for food processing. The company combines weighing technology with automated pick-and-place systems, enabling particularly precise portioning and packaging of meat, poultry or fish. Depending on the machine type, up to 320 products per minute can be processed - resulting in lower reject rates and reduced labour costs.
