JBM Packaging has broken ground on a new 4,880 square metre building in Lebanon, Ohio. The company is thus expanding its packaging and converting capacities.
The new building is being constructed on a 4.5-hectare, previously undeveloped site west of I-71, around a mile from the headquarters on Henkel Drive. The first construction phase comprises a prefabricated concrete hall with a height of 8.5 metres. It will be divided into two units: JBM plans to lease and occupy 2,490 square metres; a further 2,390 square metres on Kingsview Drive is earmarked for lease. Completion is scheduled for the end of February 2026.
Prospects for further construction phase
„As we celebrate 40 years in business, this expansion really shows how far we've come and where we're headed,“ said Marcus Sheanshang, President and CEO of JBM Packaging. „We've been searching hard for the right location for our growth over the past few years, and ultimately the answer was right on our doorstep. By building just a few blocks from our headquarters, we can stay rooted in the Lebanon community while creating the space we need to grow - to strengthen our team and better serve our customers.“
„As our converting and filling business has grown, space has become increasingly challenging,“ said Dan Puthoff, Chief Financial Officer at JBM Packaging. „This expansion will help us meet demand, reduce lead times and welcome more team members through our Fair Opportunity Programme. It's a big step forward in fulfilling our purpose: creating better solutions, better lives and a better world.“
According to the company, the property also includes the option for a second hall with a further 4,830 square metres should additional space be required.
