From 8 to 15 October 2025, K in Düsseldorf will once again open its doors as the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry. Around 3,200 exhibitors from 66 nations will present solutions, products and machinery. The organiser is Messe Düsseldorf, which has adopted the motto „The Power of Plastics! Green - Smart - Responsible“ in the foreground.

K 2025 sees itself as a platform where innovations, market trends and future issues are intensively discussed. The trade fair has been fully booked since May 2024. Over 177,000 square metres of exhibition space in 18 halls cover the entire value chain of the industry - from machines and raw materials to semi-finished products and technical parts.

International stage and central themes

The last event in 2022 attracted over 177,000 visitors from 167 countries. Strong international participation is also expected in 2025, particularly from Europe, Asia and the USA. The trade fair highlights three key themes: „Shaping the circular economy“, „Embracing digitalisation“ and „Caring about people“. The industry is thus emphasising the circular economy, the use of digital technologies and social responsibility.

Specials and new formats

K 2025 offers numerous special formats to accompany the exhibition. The special show „Plastics Shape the Future“, organised by Plastics Europe Deutschland e. V., will show current developments and political references. The VDMA will present „The Power of Plastics“ with live demonstrations and workshops in the outdoor area. Other offerings include Rubberstreet, the Start-up Zone, the Science Campus and, for the first time, the GKV's Young Talents Lounge, which is aimed specifically at young professionals. Another new feature is the „Women in Plastics“ networking format, which aims to make female specialists and managers more visible.
