With K-Pall, Kawasaki Robotics is introducing a compact robot solution to the market. It was developed together with logistics expert Ecoma Maschinenbau and was on show at Automatica Sprint.
Set up, connect, select the packing pattern and get started: With K-Pall, Kawasaki Robotics is now offering a compact palletising solution. The Stand alone solution is compatible with a wide range of systems and can be easily integrated into existing production systems with little planning effort.
Andreas Bettenbrock, Sales Engineer at Kawasaki Robotics, together with Georg Thamm, Managing Director of Ecoma Maschinenbau, explains the development of the system: „K-Pall is based on our many years of experience with small and medium-sized production facilities - and is tailored precisely to their requirements. With our new compact solution, we want to first step into the automation of palletising tasks as simple, intuitive and effective as possible. Ecoma was the perfect partner for our project right from the start.“
Simple integration and fast automation
While Ecoma supplies and assembles the cell, Kawasaki Robotics is responsible for the robot, programming and support. Plug & Play: The compact cell is easy to transport, connect and start. With the digital commissioning via e-learning the installation is completed in a very short time. The centrepiece of K-Pall is a Kawasaki R-series palletising robots. Either the RS010N or the RS020N with 10 kg or 20 kg load capacity provide the necessary power, speed and precision. Several other customised options are also available if required.
The solution not only offers extremely fast cycle times thanks to the high-performance robot, but is also available in a very short time and can be learnt and operated in a very short time. „The use of K-Pall not only increases the efficiency and output of production in the shortest possible time, it also is also easy on employees. The cumbersome and physically demanding filling of pallets is no longer necessary and the staff can devote themselves to other tasks,“ says Andreas Bettenbrock.
K-Pall with customised support
K-Pall can be operated intuitively via the large touchscreen display: the pre-installed multipack software makes it easy to select predefined packing patterns and start palletising immediately. Thanks to the Real-time monitoring of the machine status Downtimes are reduced to an absolute minimum via the included predictive maintenance tool Trend Manager. The system-supported troubleshooting also provides direct and precise assistance in the event of problems.
