With the founding of Kappler Packaging Solutions GmbH, an OEM previously operating in the background is positioning itself on the market under its own brand for the first time. The company intends to offer its development and manufacturing expertise directly to customers in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and non-food sectors in future.
Kappler Packaging Solutions has been an OEM partner in cartoning machine construction for many years and has developed machines for other suppliers. With the establishment of its own sales and brand presence, the company is now taking the step towards direct market presence. According to the management, the aim is to shorten decision-making processes and make project handling more transparent. Customised applications can be implemented through in-house design and production.
„We are now bundling our entire development and manufacturing expertise under our own brand. This creates the basis for sustainable growth and long-term partnerships,“ explains the management.
Standardised machine concept
The vertical cartoning machines follow a clearly defined technical approach. According to the company, the focus is on fast changeover times, intuitive operation and a compact design. The systems are designed to be economical to operate, especially for frequently changing formats and small to medium batch sizes.
The reduced complexity of the user interfaces is designed to enable quick familiarisation. At the same time, the compact design is aimed at production environments with limited space.
Ergonomic and process-safe details integrated
Features include a raised ergonomic protective bonnet, generous access doors for maintenance and cleaning and integrated compressed air monitoring. Castors with extendable machine feet enable flexible positioning with a stable stand.
A modern touch panel with traffic light system visualises the machine status. The so-called Nova carton holder is designed to ensure precise guidance of the folding cartons. According to the company, the carton holder can be converted in less than a minute without having to change format inserts.
Standardised and customisable at the same time
The basic version is designed for push-fit cartons. The company also offers options such as automatic leaflet inserters, hot melt or combination closures, print integrations, camera control systems or automatic feeding solutions.
By taking the step from OEM to independent supplier, Kappler Packaging Solutions is sending a strategic signal in the market for cartoning machines and aims to position itself as a direct technological partner.
