Kautex creates its own sales division for packaging

Kautex Maschinenbau is reorganising its sales department. In future, it will be divided into the Packaging and Automotive divisions. The Packaging division will be headed by 34-year-old Alain Capelle, who joined Kautex from Siemens in October 2018.

Kautex Maschinenbau is reorganising its sales department. In future, it will be divided into the Packaging and Automotive divisions. Both divisions will have their own managers.

Alain Capelle is used for the Chewing text Maschinenbau GmbH will head the Packaging sales division in future. Managing Partner Andreas Lichtenauer will be responsible for the Automotive segment, which will also include composite and customised solutions in the future.

The Bonn-based manufacturer of Extrusion blow moulding machines had previously organised its sales across all sectors. According to Kautex, the reorganisation is intended to create the conditions for being able to respond more quickly and consistently to customers' sector-specific requirements.

New Sales Director Packaging comes from Siemens

Alain Cappelle has been Assistant to the Management Board at Kautex since October 2018. Prior to this, the 34-year-old spent nine years in various roles in the energy business of Siemens worked there. Most recently, he managed an internal start-up for the digitalisation of field service. In his new position as Sales Director Packaging Since 1 May 2019, he has been responsible for the planning, management and strategic direction of Kautex Maschinenbau's global sales activities in the Packaging area.

According to Kautex, it has recognised a change in customer and market requirements in the Mechanical engineering was noted. In the packaging sector in particular, there is a high level of fragmentation in the markets and a desire for shorter delivery times and more Standardisation firm. Topics such as Traceability and Circular economy are playing an increasingly important role, according to Kautex.
