The updated CLP Regulation changes the requirements for the labelling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures. New regulations for product launches will apply from May 2025, while transitional periods until 2028 will give companies time to change their labelling. The Rhineland-Palatinate-based company KD Labels now offers a suitable solution with its multi-page adhesive labels.
CLP stands for “classification, labelling and packaging of chemicals”. One of the key changes in the CLP regulation concerns the design of labels: standardised font sizes, contrasts and, in particular, the use of black lettering on a white background are mandatory. The implementation of these specifications requires significantly more space on the labels - not only for extensive hazard and safety information, but also for multilingual information. Conventional single-sided labels quickly reach their limits here.
Lots of space in the smallest room
KD Labels - KilianDruck Grünstadt Dinges GmbH - is now presenting an innovative labelling solution: multi-page adhesive labels that offer up to five pages in the smallest of spaces. Thanks to their two- or three-page design, they enable space-saving and at the same time complete implementation of the CLP specifications.
The multi-page labels are considered a space-saving miracle for maximum information density, as even extensive content remains clear and easy to read. One label covers several languages and is therefore also suitable for international marketing. The new solution is compatible with existing production systems and is versatile: one label is sufficient for all types of packaging, from buckets and cans to canisters and more. The multi-page glue labels are also available as a sustainable version made from recycled paper and are characterised by their easy handling: Opening tabs make it easy to turn to the relevant page.
The multi-page adhesive labels from KD Labels provide companies with a practical, economical and sustainable solution for implementing the new CLP requirements. They not only facilitate legally compliant labelling, but also strengthen the brand profile.
