The Klingele Paper & Packaging Group enters into a partnership with the family-owned company Maistapack in Austria and taps into this new market with additional sustainable products. At the same time, Klingele sells its shares in the British formate manufacturer Onboard Corrugated Limited.
Thanks to the new partnership with Maistapack, Klingele is able to expand its product portfolio and existing solution approaches beyond the existing ones. Sustainable packaging solutions in Germany, Austria and other markets offer.

This applies to conventional plastic, EPS or aluminium packaging, for example. In this way, we are further increasing our contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.“

He adds: „The Austrian market attaches particular importance to sustainability. That's why it makes sense to tap into it with our recyclable and environmentally friendly products.“ Maistapack specialises in innovative and sustainable packaging and mainly supplies customers from the food industry. The products include various paper-based fruit and vegetable packaging, special packaging in solid board and ultra-fine flute, many variants of multi-point gluing as well as fibre-based thermoforming trays that are also suitable for direct food contact. These products are now also part of Klingele's expanded portfolio and can be custom-printed to strengthen the impact of brands.
Since 2019, Klingele has been operating together with Paul Jundu as a 50:50 joint venture the corrugated board mould manufacturer Onboard in Wolverhampton, England. The company has developed very successfully under the management of Paul Jundu. The two shareholders have now jointly Onboard sold to the company Nova Paper, which belongs to the Turkish Eren Group.
