Krones AG is relocating several previously distributed rental spaces in the Rosenheim area to a new location in the Mietraching Technology Park in Bad Aibling. The modern company building is being constructed under the direction of Retis Holding GmbH and is scheduled to be occupied from mid-2027. The aim is to optimise the operating and training structures.

In future, Krones will consolidate various rental spaces in the Rosenheim area in a new, centralised company building in Bad Aibling. The approximately 18,000 square metre building will be constructed by Retis Holding GmbH, which Krones has secured as a long-term tenant. Construction work is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with handover planned for mid-2027.

Location bundling to increase efficiency

At the new site in the Mietraching Technology Park, internal processes are to be made more efficient, transport routes shortened and logistical processes bundled. According to the company, this will significantly reduce internal lorry traffic - a plus for both the environmental balance and work organisation.

A central element of the project is the training area: the new facility is designed for modern, practical training and is intended to strengthen the promotion of young talent in the region in the long term. Dr. Helmut Schwarz, Manager of the Krones plant in Rosenheim, emphasises: „Our new facility is a further milestone for packaging and palletising technology and underlines our commitment to the Rosenheim region and district.“

Cooperation with Retis and the town of Bad Aibling

The building is being constructed on a former barracks site that Retis Holding GmbH - a company owned by the Schatt family of entrepreneurs - has been developing since 2014 together with Beck & Fraundienst Wohnbau GmbH & Co. KG and in consultation with the town of Bad Aibling. The new Krones site comprises around 12,000 square metres of production space and 6,000 square metres of office and administration space.

Krones Executive Board member Ralf Goldbrunner sees the decision as an investment in competitiveness: „We are thus laying the foundations for the further development of our market position.“ Hartmut Auer, Managing Director of Retis Holding GmbH, also emphasises the regional contribution: „We are making an active contribution to the development of the region - especially by creating new jobs and apprenticeships.“
