Krones is inviting visitors to a virtual trade fair stand to provide an insight into its solutions for the packaging industry despite the cancellation of interpack.
The 2020 trade fair year to date has been characterised by postponements and cancellations due to the coronavirus. Nevertheless, to provide an insight into its Solutions for the packaging industry Krones has now created a virtual trade fair stand and presented its Exhibits at interpack can be experienced digitally made- True to the original and in 3D.

The virtual interpack starts on 28 April and provides answers to the questions of how the prevailing consumption of resources can be steered towards a sustainable circular economy and what opportunities the industry has to bring about this change.

Visitors are not left to their own devices. From 28 to 30 April between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., visitors will be able to ask questions, make requests and make suggestions. Stand supervisor via live chat available.
What is there to see?
At the virtual trade fair stand, for example, the LitePac Top secondary packaging which are characterised in particular by lower energy consumption and less waste than shrink packs.
LitePac Top can be processed with the Varioline 2M packaging machine, which will also be on show at the stand. In addition to high flexibility, it offers additional advantages in terms of sustainability, efficiency and economy thanks to the use of lifetime-lubricated bearings, electric vacuum pumps and the recuperation of braking energy.

This is how the label is cost-effectively applied to the bottle
Flexibility, colour brilliance and freedom in the visual and haptic design of containers are offered by the DecoType direct printing machine from Dekron. With direct printing, new designs can be applied to bottles cost-effectively within a very short time.
By printing the motif directly onto the container body, labels - and therefore waste - can be dispensed with. The process works for glass bottles as well as for containers made from virgin PET and recyclate.
The printed bottles can even be returned to the recycling cycle and recycled with the Krones MetaPure recycling systems can be recycled. And with the MetaPure recycling systems, not only PET bottles can be recycled into food-grade PET, but also polyolefins can be recycled and even upcycled.
