At this year's METPACK in Essen, Lanico will be presenting a particularly powerful machine for the production of all formats of 3-piece aerosol cans. The newly developed Can Former CF 589 achieves a speed of 500 cans per minute and processes very thin body material with a sheet thickness of just 0.13 mm.
According to the company, the machine enables material savings of up to 30 per cent compared to conventional systems.
The new Can Former CF 589 also impresses with its high availability. When changing formats, the height can be changed in just 20 seconds and without the use of tools. In accordance with the LANICO design system in the „Lego style“ the machine uses modular moulds and the complete format change (diameter) only takes 120 minutes.
Fine adjustment of the spindle speed
The welded can parts are fed vertically into the CF 589 and separated. During subsequent processing, the spindle speed can be individually adjusted for each carousel with rotating tool. This allows the machine to be optimally adapted to the requirements of the tinplate material used. The Can Former CF 589 has a Practical recipe management, which integrates all key production parameters such as height, machine speed and spindle speed. For the Parameter change Only a few seconds are required to call up presets.
Lanico will be presenting further innovations at METPACK. One of these is the product line „LANICO transport systems“ for lid destacking at high speed. The system achieves an output of more than 1000 lids per minute.
