Different carton sizes, high cycle rates and limited space characterise many logistics and e-commerce environments. Lantech presents solutions that allow carton erection and pallet securing to be adapted to variable requirements.

In dispatch centres, precise carton shapes are a basic requirement for trouble-free conveyor technology and stable palletising. With its carton erectors, Lantech relies on a design that, according to the company, produces rectangular cartons regardless of material fluctuations or ambient conditions. The C-1000 carton erector processes a wide range of blank sizes and achieves throughputs of up to 30 cartons per minute. Depending on the application, the base is sealed with hot glue or adhesive tape.

Multi-format carton erector for high flexibility

For applications with frequently changing carton formats, Lantech offers a multi-format version with several magazines. This solution allows different carton sizes to be kept ready in parallel and processed during ongoing operation. Changeover times and production interruptions are eliminated. According to the manufacturer, this reduces both floor space and conveyor technology, as all cartons are provided at a central output point.

The integrated control system monitors the erecting process and is designed to ensure that the cartons remain dimensionally stable. Square cartons facilitate downstream processes such as filling, stacking and palletising and reduce the risk of disruptions in the material flow.

Automated load securing on pallets

In addition to case erecting, Lantech also addresses the securing of palletised goods. The semi-automatic QL400XT stretch wrapping machine automates the application and cutting of the film. A mechanical stapling and cutting unit reduces manual intervention and shortens the wrapping time per pallet, according to the manufacturer.

Another feature is a control system for creating recurring wrapping profiles for different load types. The aim is to achieve reproducible wrapping results and avoid operating errors. The machine is designed for applications with medium throughputs and different pallet dimensions.
