Lantech has launched a newly developed solution for tray packaging. The fully automated Parcel Pack system presented at this year's LogiMAT produces covered trays in letterbox format. E-commerce retailers and fulfilment service providers benefit from efficient parcel logistics.
Trays fulfil a dual function. As sturdy transport packaging in letterbox format, they save on shipping costs. Retailers also use the boxes to present several products in primary packaging at the point of sale (POS). Lantech now offers the new system Parcel Pack for fully automated production of trays.
The system combines the TE Parcel tray erector and the LA Parcel tray concealer and achieves an output of up to 1000 packages per hour. Users benefit from great flexibility in terms of formats and can produce trays with dimensions between 165 x 115 x 20 mm and 400 x 300 x 100 mm. The trays and their lids are absolutely rectangular.
Compared to conventional machines, both the tray erector and the tray concealer are are very compact in design and therefore require little floor space. Other features include the fully enclosed design and the ergonomic cutting magazines. Operation is simple and format changes can be carried out in a flash. Both machines are also available separately.
