„Fully booked exhibition halls, a high level of internationality, very satisfied exhibitors and visitors as well as numerous innovations and trends - CosmeticBusiness continues to grow and showed that it is the most important meeting place for the cosmetics supply industry for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and increasingly also for neighbouring countries. With current industry topics such as sustainability, our trade fair had its finger on the pulse of the times.“

Increasing internationality and great diversity among exhibitors
CosmeticBusiness got off to a very good start in 2019: The enlarged exhibition area of 13,000 square metres was already fully booked five months before the start of the event. 449 exhibitors (2018: 419 exhibitors) and represented companies from 22 countries showcased their latest products and solutions for the cosmetics industry in all four halls of the MOC Munich. No fewer than 75 new exhibitors enriched the four exhibition areas of CosmeticBusiness - Ingredients, Manufacturing, Packaging and Service - which represent the entire cosmetics value chain in Munich in one place and enable visitors to experience 360-degree product development.
Overall, CosmeticBusiness was even more successful this time. international43 per cent of exhibitors travelled from abroad - mainly from France, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Last year, the figure was 37 per cent.
„It is very important for us to be represented at CosmeticBusiness every year. Here we can exchange ideas with the entire cosmetics supply industry. We have noticed how much more internationalised the trade fair has become in recent years. Whereas when we first visited, it was mainly exhibitors from German-speaking countries, new countries are now being added all the time. Nevertheless, CosmeticBusiness remains nice and compact: trade visitors can easily get an overview of the entire industry in one day without getting stressed. This also benefits the discussions.“
Bernd Stauch, Senior Director Sales Cosmetics at Gerresheimer

Quality of the trade fair impresses exhibitors and trade visitors
In general, the majority of exhibitors rated CosmeticBusiness 2019 as a complete success: According to an official survey of the trade fair by the independent market research company Gelszus Messe-Marktforschung, 92 per cent of exhibitors rated their trade fair participation as successful. 93 per cent of those surveyed expect good follow-up business - and 90 per cent plan to take part in CosmeticBusiness again in 2020. The exhibitors particularly praised the quality of the trade visitors. For example, 97 per cent were satisfied with the professional qualifications of their contacts.
Trade visitors also drew a positive conclusion: 90 per cent of those surveyed want to visit the trade fair again and 93 per cent recommend CosmeticBusiness to others. In addition, not only did visitor satisfaction increase by four per cent, but the industry meeting place also made gains in terms of country diversity: Trade visitors from 59 countries (2018: 55 countries) came to CosmeticBusiness this year.
Most important industry meeting place for cosmetics manufacturers and their suppliers
In addition, the official survey conducted by the trade fair once again confirmed the importance of CosmeticBusiness as the most important industry meeting place for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and increasingly also for neighbouring countries: every second visitor emphasised that CosmeticBusiness is the most important cosmetics supplier trade fair for them.
„I regularly attend the trade fair in Munich and was once again absolutely delighted: no other trade fair fits the description ‚industry meeting place‘ as well as CosmeticBusiness. Here you can meet the most important contacts from the entire industry in a small space and all the relevant contacts are always on site. I was once again able to take home many exciting impressions and will definitely be back next year.“

Innovation and sustainability - CosmeticBusiness provides important impetus
With new themed routes such as the „Green Route“ and „Innovation Route“, this year's CosmeticBusiness focused even more strongly on the great demand for ecological, sustainable and innovative products and services from the cosmetics supply industry - and was able to score points with exhibitors and trade visitors alike with these current focal points.
„CosmeticBusiness was exactly the right place to present our packaging solutions. The German market is particularly sensitised to the topic of sustainability and this was also evident at CosmeticBusiness 2019: We were repeatedly approached about products that we had also exhibited in the spotlight, enabling us to make many interesting new contacts and meet three of our biggest customers in Germany. After this successful premiere, we will certainly be back next year.“

The upcoming CosmeticBusiness will take place from 17 to 18 June 2020 at the MOC Munich instead.
