At K 2022, Zahoransky AG will be demonstrating how manufacturing processes for medical products can be streamlined. The company is presenting highly automated and fully integrated systems for the medical technology sector. One of the exhibits is a process for integrated injection stretch blow moulding (ISBM).
Thanks to the transfer handling integrated in the injection mould, the ISBM enables the Hproduction of vials on a standard injection moulding machine - the otherwise necessary special injection blow moulding machines are no longer required. The exhibit on show is also equipped with the new Z.LODOS tray loader. The special feature: the tray change time is „0“, meaning that no system downtime is required for the fully automatic tray change. The result is a Leaner production process in the manufacture of medical devices and easier compliance with cleanroom specifications.
Another focus of the trade fair presentation is the extended range of Hybrid components, especially in the field of medical technology. Here, plastic is used as a proven glass substitute material for pre-filled disposable syringes as medicine containers, among other things. These products can be produced with the highly automated large-scale systems from Zahoransky can be produced in one step, which reduces the Reduce production steps and therefore costs leave.
„The future of manufacturing consists of lean production with interlinked processes and reduced interfaces with high availability and quality. We offer our customers complete turnkey production systems via the one-stop shopping approach. All injection moulding, automation and assembly processes are integrated. We will be presenting the solutions for this at the K trade fair.“

The company will also be exhibiting complete systems at K. The PRIMA Z Syringe, for example, is the First production line with 16-cavity mould on the market for the manufacture of syringes as pharmaceutical primary packaging for liquid medicines. These so-called parenteral syringes are produced using a modern plastic injection moulding process with overmoulded cannulas. Compared to glass syringes, the staked-needle syringes made of plastic can be fed directly to the subsequent filling with the respective medication.
The company fulfils the increasing global demand for in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) - such as pipette tips, cuvettes, laboratory consumables and blood collection tubes - with production systems such as the VITRO Z models. Here too Plastic used as a substitute for glass. This allows the Manufacture products in a short time and with high quality, short start-up times and few rejects.
