The leather goods manufacturer Braun Büffel is entering into a new partnership with Ravioli, a Hamburg-based provider of reusable shipping solutions. Since 1 July, the German family business has been offering its customers the choice between disposable and reusable packaging for shipping their orders.

The sustainable system enables customers to order their leather goods in reusable packaging. After receiving the consignment the empty polypropylene boxes from Ravioli simply to a DHL parcel shop returned are sent back to Ravioli. There they are sent back to Ravioli, cleaned and prepared for the next use. The black boxes are also an eye-catcher.

Braun Büffel currently uses Two different box sizes which are suitable for small leather goods such as wallets or mobile phone cases. Bags cannot yet be sent in the reusable boxes for space reasons.

„Our website automatically recognises which orders are eligible for ravioli packaging and offers our customers the additional shipping method at check-out. Nothing changes for the logistics processes. We are delighted that we are taking another step towards sustainability with Ravioli as a pioneer in our industry and that our customers are also taking up this offer. Although we haven't actively advertised it yet and shipping costs €2.99 more than conventional shipping, some of our customers have already opted for the sustainable shipping packaging.“
