The Serbian manufacturer Foodland D.O.O. is known for its delicious products under the brand name „Granny's Secret‘. Due to the many different products, containers of different shapes and sizes have to be labelled flexibly time and time again. The task is performed reliably by the “Gernep Soluta„ rotary labeller.
The brand „Granny's Secret“ stands for Ayvar, jams and juices made according to traditional recipes. The products are in the premium segment, which is why the manufacturer attaches particular importance to a sophisticated look. The Glasses from Granny's Secret are deliberately reminiscent of the preserved jars that used to be in the grandparents‘ pantry.
Not only the shape of the glasses, but also the Labels and the chosen fonts should reflect a „cosy feeling of home“. The precise and exact position of the labels is particularly important. The Gourmet container must be labelled uniformly and accurately to the millimetre. Labelling machines from Gernep take on this difficult task.

In the case of Granny's Secret, the flexibility of Gernep Soluta really comes into its own. This is because containers with different capacities such as 30, 200, 212, 314, 580 and 700 millilitres have to be labelled. Both on square glass containers as well as on Bottles the wrap-around self-adhesive labels are applied.
Some containers, on the other hand, receive very narrow labels up to 300 millimetres long. But even this is no problem for the Gernep labelling machine. After all, the long labels overlap very precisely.

Simply sticking on the labels is not enough. The jams, juices and ayvar are filled into moulded jars. These have different label fields or cut-outs for labels on each side. The jar must therefore first be aligned before the labelling process.

The original recipe for ajvar - pronounced „ei-war“ - from Granny's Secret comes from the southern Serbian village of Igroš. The spicy vegetable puree in the handmade version contains the best peppers from the region at the foot of the Kopaonik mountains.
The producer Foodland D.O.O. from Belgrade endeavours to preserve the traditional recipes of this region. The company has already been honoured with several international culinary awards for its efforts. These include the „Great Taste Awards“ from 2013 to 2017, the „World's Best Innovative Juice‘ award, the “World Star for Packaging„ and the “World's Original Marmalade Award„.
