LogiMAT will take place in Stuttgart from 25 to 27 April with an extensive programme. The halls of the trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management are already fully booked and offer visitors a wide range of products, systems and solutions.

In a few weeks, the LogiMAT 2023 opens its doors at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. Under the motto „Hands-on Innovation: Connecting Smart Networks!“, the international intralogistics world will meet in ten packed halls and on the outdoor area between Halls 8 and 10 from 25 to 27 April 2023. More than 1,500 exhibitors from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa will be presenting their latest range of products, systems and solutions for efficient intralogistics processes to an international trade audience on 125,000 square metres of the fully booked exhibition grounds (+7% compared to the previous year).

„Every trusting business relationship begins with a personal meeting. In April 2023, LogMAT will once again offer an excellent opportunity to meet important national and international players from a wide range of industries in person, to network and to enter into important strategic alliances.“

As the world's largest logistics trade fair, the LogiMAT brand is firmly established as a leading information and communication platform as well as a working trade fair for direct business transactions in the intralogistics industry. For exhibitors from all over the world who do business in Central Europe, it is the primary presentation platform for their new developments and innovations. Here are Digitalisation, automation and flexibility, together with the field of sustainability and resource efficiency, are the defining topics, which currently characterise intralogistics - both on the part of developers and system manufacturers, as well as from the perspective of companies in industry, trade and services. This is reflected in the current demand situation for intralogistics investment projects. „In a volatile environment,“ says Markus Schlotter, Managing Director Central Europe, Exotec GmbH (Hall 5, Stand 5D71), „intralogistics specialists are arming themselves with resilient, flexible and resource-saving solutions for the future. The demand for intelligent, scalable solutions is increasing. The order books are well filled and the industry as a whole has a lot to do.“

Increasing internationalisation

The investments flow into Modern industrial trucks, process automation, IT and sustainability concepts. This is intended to increase the flexibility of intralogistics in terms of volatile demand, system design and conception as well as the automation solutions themselves. With the exhibits of their latest product and system developments, the international exhibitors at LogiMAT 2023 are not only demonstrating the industry's adaptability in the face of enormous global economic challenges. They are also demonstrating their innovative strength and demonstrate further optimisation potential in intralogistics on.

Against the background of the global economic situation, the degree of internationalisation of LogiMAT is increasing. The share of international exhibitors has grown to a good third this year. A further indication of increasing internationalisation: the proportion of international companies among the 200 or so new exhibitors coming to Stuttgart for the first time this year is almost 70 percent.

„With 25 new exhibitors from Asia alone, including 20 from the People's Republic of China, companies from overseas accounted for 25 per cent of the total. We are also pleased to see slight increases from Africa and South America. These current figures impressively reflect the growing international significance of LogiMAT for companies beyond the European continent. This development is also impressively underpinned by the successful LogiMAT offshoots in China and Thailand.“

Sustainable solutions

When it comes to saving energy and conserving resources, logistics and the intralogistics industry are often among the pioneers with their solutions - for example as „pioneers of the circular economy“, as Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner, full professor at the Chair of Materials Handling Material Flow Logistics (fml) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), titled his specialist event in the supporting programme of LogiMAT 2023. The intralogistics industry was already taking a comprehensive look at sustainability and resource efficiency before the onset of the now prevailing shortage of skilled labour as well as municipal and legal requirements, for example in the designation of industrial and logistics areas. Your In addition to recycling and retrofitting, closed-loop systems and reducing energy consumption, the range of solutions also includes personnel deployment and space utilisation a. Among other things, compact storage and picking solutions with energy recovery systems, sleep mode with reduced order volumes and low energy consumption thanks to lightweight construction have been announced. The use of super caps ensures energy savings for shuttle robots and industrial trucks. They can be seen in almost all manufacturers' energy recovery systems and high-frequency charging technology. New, low-consumption identification solutions and the integration of sensor technology and AI-supported industrial image processing increase transparency and support resource and process efficiency. At LogiMAT 2023, manufacturers will also be presenting the latest developments in the integration of alternative drive technologies such as lithium-ion and hydrogen/fuel cell technology before.

Another Novelty at LogiMAT 2023 concerns the area of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and robotics. Among other things, the latest stationary and mobile picking and collaborative robots with AI-based image processing programmes as well as the first fully autonomous AGVs for both internal and external transport will be on display. AGVs are also on show as exhibits.

„This segment is currently developing so dynamically that we have expanded the exhibition space to meet the high demand from companies. We have relocated the area to Hall 6. With a total of 10,500 square metres, there is more than double the exhibition space available for mobile materials handling equipment and robots compared to the previous year.“

Last but not least, the international exhibitors from the areas of RFID/auto-ID, labelling and packaging/containers with exhibits of their latest developments Halls 2 and 4 as well as the entire south side of the East Entrance area. Visitors to the trade fair can expect to see a range of products there, from advanced plastic and new, battery-free smart labels to Scantore for on-the-fly code capture and Airpop packaging for transporting and shipping temperature-sensitive products, as well as newly developed, fully automated complete systems of packaging machines for paper bags.

In addition, the East Entrance will once again feature the exhibition area for young innovative companies, which is subsidised by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. LogiMAT 2023 will also feature an extensive, attractive supporting programme with a series of lectures by experts from business and science, informative exhibitor presentations, live events on load securing and the AIM-D's Tracking & Tracing Theatre (T&TT).

„All in all, a broad range of products and information on the latest trends and solutions that is not offered to trade visitors anywhere else. We look forward to opening the showcase for international intralogistics again at LogiMAT 2023 at the end of April and wish exhibitors and visitors a lively dialogue and exchange of information.“
