With the AI agent, Logistikbude GmbH presents a new feature of its software solution that significantly reduces the manual effort involved in managing load carriers. Using artificial intelligence, the AI agent automatically processes handwritten and printed information on scanned pallet notes and transfers it to the digital booking screen in a structured manner.
After an intensive Test phase in live operation the feature has already been implemented at the first partner companies and is showing immediate positive effects. The key advantage of the AI agent: It is self-explanatory and therefore immediately ready for use.
From manual input to automated booking
The new feature uses artificial intelligence to automatically process the information on scanned documents - i.e. exchange partner, document date and number, loading equipment and quantities, optionally also lorry number plates and other references - and generates a booking from this, which is then only briefly approved by an employee. The special feature here: The tickets are read out without having to be programmed - even those that the system has never seen before.
„This reduces the effort per pallet note from 30 to 60 seconds to just a few seconds and at the same time the error rate due to transmission errors. With dozens of slips a day, several hours of avoidable labour can be saved every week.“
Dr Philipp Hüning, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Logistikbude

The solution is fully scalable and can reliably process tens of thousands of receipts or more per week. In the next expansion stage, bookings are even created fully automatically - without manual intervention.
„With the AI agent, we are bringing artificial intelligence directly into everyday logistics. We are not only reducing manual work steps, but also creating the basis for fully digital and audit-proof processes in load carrier management - and thus making a strategic contribution to the digitalisation of the supply chain.“
Patrik Elfert, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO)
The pallet note as „the lowest common denominator“
Why do companies still rely on paper at all? Hüning explains: „Paper remains the lowest common denominator for many companies: different systems are often not linked with each other, and as soon as external partners are added to the mix, there is often only paper left for documentation on the ramp.“ This is why the „classic“ pallet note is still widely used in everyday logistics and production. „Our vision is this, Fully automate load carrier processes and therefore Completely paperless to shape the future. At the same time, of course, we recognise that the reality is currently different. This is exactly where our AI agent comes in,“ adds Hüning.
