With the expansion of its site in Vadodara, Maag is increasingly offering locally customised machines and services.
The internationally active Maag Group is further expanding its presence on the Indian market. According to the Swiss process technology specialist, this underlines the strategic importance of the Vadodara site, around 400 kilometres north of Mumbai. With a localised range of machines and services, specialised personnel and its own grinding centre for cutting rotors, Maag is consolidating its position as an important supplier in the South Asian polymer sector.
Localised products for regional requirements
MAAG has been operating its own branch in Vadodara since 2016. Previously, the company had been active in the market through partners since 1980. Today, a local team of a dozen specialists is employed there. The focus is on customised machine solutions for applications such as strand pelletising, which are specially tailored to Indian market requirements.
Service network with own grinding capacity
A highlight of the site is the in-house grinding centre for cutting rotors. Maag operates a total of eight such centres internationally. In Vadodara, cutting rotors - including those from other manufacturers - are reconditioned using state-of-the-art machinery.
Vadodara is located in the state of Gujarat, one of India's most important industrial centres, especially for companies in the polymer and compounding industry.
