Lesko Engineering has modified the CL 380 ST converting machine specifically for processing linerless adhesive materials. The machine was customised with input from a user and now offers functions that are required for the precise cutting and winding of such materials.

The machine can be customised to enable precise handling of webs up to 380 mm wide and with a roll diameter of up to 160 mm. A servo drive and a short web path support the uniform material transport, while non-stick coatings on deflection rollers and cutting discs prevent sticking.

The machine has an unwinding unit for rolls up to 500 mm in diameter, which is equipped with a movable pressure arm for even material detachment. For the longitudinal cut Pneumatic crush cutters are used, which are integrated into the feed roller unit to ensure stability and a minimum cutting width of 13 mm. Two pneumatic winding spindles allow the machine to be used as a Double winding or as semiturret, The CL 380 ST can start a new cycle automatically.

An automatic cutting system cuts the rolls after the winding process is complete. A vacuum pump compensates for material stretch so that the operator only has to remove the finished rolls and insert new cores. The optimised machine is aimed at companies that process linerless adhesive tapes and demanding materials. The Graphic Systems GmbH distributes the machine as Lesko's sales partner.
