„Made for Recycling“ now also possible for the international market

The environmental services provider Interseroh will be presenting its expanded range of „Made for Recycling“ services at Fachpack. Recyclable packaging can now also be certified for the international market.

„The demand is high. Our customers want to know whether their packaging can be recycled to the same high standard in France or Italy, for example, as in Germany,“ says Markus Müller-Drexel, Managing Director of Interseroh Dienstleistungs GmbH. „With the Internationalisation of our scientifically based packaging analysis we will be able to support companies even better in the future in developing sustainable and resource-saving packaging solutions for their sales markets.“

The „Made for Recycling“ test method is established in Germany as the standard for recyclable packaging. Three years after the launch, the international rollout is now followingFrom now on, all interested companies will also benefit from the independent assessment of recyclability in selected European countries. The experts not only analyse the materials and design of the packaging, but also the actual sortability and recyclability, which depends heavily on the local technical infrastructure.

Taking responsibility with „Made for Recycling“

The international packaging analysis was carried out by the bifa Environmental Institute and the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV validated and is initially available for Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Spain and the UK. With the „Made for Recycling“ seal, manufacturers can also show their customers that they place value on a functioning circular economy and that their products are recyclable. Responsibility for climate and resource protection take over.

Fachpack is planned as a hybrid event this year, meaning that interested parties can obtain information at the Interseroh stand in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg or via the digital platform myFackpack participate. Highlights on site include a Lecture by packaging expert Julian Thielen on the focus topic of internationalisation.
