Management change at the IFCO Group

Wolfgang Orgeldinger will step down from his position as CEO of the IFCO Group on 30 June 2020. Michael Pooley will be appointed as the new CEO with effect from 1 July 2020.

The Advisory Board of the IFCO Group has now announced that Wolfgang Orgeldinger will step down as CEO of the IFCO Group on 30 June 2020. This change is part of a succession process that has been planned for some time.

Wolfgang Orgeldinger has worked for IFCO SYSTEMS since 2000 and has significantly shaped the company over the past 20 years, first as COO and since 2013 as CEO. He will remain committed to IFCO and will continue to lead the IFCO Group in the future. as a member of the Advisory Board support. The succession was planned well in advance in close cooperation between Wolfgang Orgeldinger and the Advisory Board and is intended to create a smooth transition and handover in the coming weeks.

With effect from 01.07.2020 Michael Pooley to the new CEO of the IFCO Group. He has successfully led extensive growth and change programmes for Brambles and Exova Group. Pooley has relevant experience in the pooling and retail sectors of the industry and has led More than 25 years in management, sales and operations worked for the company. In 1990, he graduated from the University of Bath with a B. Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and completed his studies at Henley Management College with an MBA.

This has enabled us to achieve high and consistent growth even in difficult economic cycles. We have the change of ownership successfully completed last year and I am convinced that the IFCO Group is in good hands. That is why the time is right for me to step down as CEO. I am looking forward to leading the company in my new function as a member of the Advisory Board and watch Michael Pooley and the entire team write the next chapter in IFCO's long-standing success story.“
