At Fachpack 2022, Crailsheim-based packaging expert Gerhard Schubert will be demonstrating the solutions he has at the ready for current challenges. This also includes the presentation of the new Mission Partbox sustainability programme, where a newly developed 3D printer can be experienced live.

As a family business, Schubert has always thought about the next generations and is pursuing the Mission Blue one of Schubert's goals is to become a climate-neutral company. In addition to its own aspirations, Schubert is increasingly supporting its customers in producing more sustainably and is therefore developing with and for its customers Future-proof packaging solutions. One focus, for example, is on a innovative packaging development for more environmentally friendly materials or resource-saving cuts. Schubert creates the basis for sustainable packaging with the flexibility and sophisticated robot technology of its packaging machines.

How robotics enables more flexibility is demonstrated with a Tray packer demonstrated. The customer's machine packs hamburgers that are in a display pack into cardboard trays with a separate lid. The machine can pack products in three different packaging variants from 4-count to 16-count packaging. In future, up to 14 different packaging formats will be available.

After a successful premiere at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, the Partbox is now set to score in Nuremberg. Dhe 3D printer enables manufacturers to produce components directly on their own premises with the fastest possible availability (image). This means that defective parts can be replaced quickly and new formats for modified products can be produced in-house. Schubert also supplies the right printing material in the form of Partbox Black plastic. This is food-compliant and also has good mechanical properties and high temperature resistance.
