Mauser Packaging Solutions is expanding its production capacity for IBCs and plastic drums in Turkey to meet the growing demand in the industry and the market.

Mauser Packaging Solutions says it is investing heavily in modern equipment to expand its production capacity for IBCs and plastic drums at its plant in Gebze, Turkey. These investments will also Collection and delivery of recycled packaging in the region.

The installation of a new line for plastic drums is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021, followed by the Installation of a new blow moulding machine for IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Container) at the beginning of 2022. These investments are intended to better serve customers and meet the increased demand for new and remanufactured IBCs and plastic drums on the local market.

The Turkish plant in Gebze, 50 kilometres from Istanbul, began manufacturing steel drums in 1974. Over the past 45 years, the site has expanded its capacity and product portfolio and now also offers plastic drums and IBCs as well as reconditioning services. The plant is also Certified according to ISO 22000 for food safety, an internationally recognised standard for packaging that is produced with maximum cleanliness and hygiene.
