Maximum precision over long distances

Specified for ranges of up to 80 metres, the time-of-flight sensor from Sick impresses with its high accuracy and resolution.

Specified for ranges of up to 80 metres, the time-of-flight sensor from Sick impresses with its high accuracy and resolution. A completely new usability concept ensures fast and user-friendly configuration of the new DT80 optical distance sensor.

The new DT80 optical distance sensor runs via the SOPAS configuration software or via IO-Link. Measuring speeds and other parameters can thus be set easily. The compact metal housing is Ideal for cramped installation conditions. Protection class IP65 and IP67 also enable long-term use in harsh environmental conditions. The Integrated temperature compensation ensures rapid temperature changes or intense sunlight, the sensors deliver highly precise and reliable measurement results.

With the sum of its properties the DT80 opens up many new stationary and mobile application areas, in mobile machines or in the consumer goods industry, for example. As it basically shares the housing and connection concept of the other DT distance sensors from Sick takes over, users can both simply upgrade to the DT80 (and thus more precision and range) as well as the familiar and proven assembly solutions of the product family.

Using it to position the forks of a self-propelled forklift truck, for example, offers a precise, reliable and efficient method. The sensor reproducibly determines the height of the forks. This not only contributes to increase operational efficiency and safety, but also enables integration into automated processes and its recording of operating data for further use.
