Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH will be presenting a wide range of proven metal detectors and separators for the food and pharmaceutical industries at this year's interpack.

Trade fair highlights include the easySCOPE X-ray inspection system and the TRANSTRON S conveyor belt system with integrated METRON 07 CI metal detector. The latter is equipped with new multi-frequency technology and many new software features.

To meet the increasing demands of consumers and retailers, more and more producers in the packaging industry are turning to X-ray technology. The X-ray inspection device easySCOPE was specially developed for the Inspection of final packaged products The X-ray system was developed for the precise detection of magnetic and non-magnetic metals, as well as other types of foreign objects such as glass, ceramics, stones, raw bones and some denser types of plastic. X-ray technology can also be used to detect many other product defects. Special algorithms can be used, for example, to exclude sausage clips from the inspection or to determine the correct number of products, such as chocolates, in a package.

Maximum tolerance

The focus is also on the TRANSTRON S conveyor system together with the high-end METRON 07 CI tunnel detector. The METRON 07 CI is equipped with the latest multi-frequency technology. When learning optimisation is activated and a minimum detection standard is specified, a new software algorithm determines the maximum tolerance to any interference and product fluctuations fully automatically. Furthermore, the detection accuracy determined in the process is shown directly on the display in the form of ball sizes for each type of metal. This significantly reduces the time and effort required to set up the metal detector, especially for difficult products with fluctuating product effects or packaging sizes.
