„MetoSafe“: Safe closure for food containers

This allows consumers to recognise at a glance whether the food they have purchased has already been opened. The product is made of 100 per cent paper and can be disposed of separately with paper and cardboard.

Food producers are subject to strict quality controls and fulfil high standards in order to satisfy their customers. But according to an American study 28 per cent of suppliers have already removed food from an order. Seal labels such as the MetoSafe label protect consumers and producers from this problem and guarantee the quality of the products purchased.

Securely seal paper bags and drinks cups

The security labels leave the label behind when they are removed. unmistakable lettering „open, opened, ouvert“ or a previously defined text of your choice and thus make an unintentional opening visible. The effect cannot be recognised at first glance. It only becomes visible when the label is removed due to the scatter print. The tampering is thus immediately obvious and the goods cannot be resealed without being noticed.

This offers the consumer security, ensures a carefree consumer experience and satisfied customers. Because whether it's a delivery service, catering service, system catering, petrol station or supermarket - the Customers want to be able to rely on their ordered goods being undamaged and have not been opened by third parties without authorisation.

Consumer and environmental protection combined

Conventional VOID labels - these are sealing labels that leave a scattered print when they are removed and thus reveal an opening - are made of polyester film and aluminium. However, food is usually packaged in paper bags in the out-of-home business. For this reason, the packaging and VOID label should normally be disposed of separately. However, this is rarely done and is therefore a burden on the environment.

The MetoSafe label consists exclusively of paper and can be sorted and recycled - together with the packaging - in domestic paper waste. It thus combines the practical aspects of a safety label with environmental protection.
