Metsä Board, a leading European manufacturer of premium fresh fibre paperboard, sees the improvement of its products as a continuous process. The Finnish company has now launched a New, optimised folding boxboard range to provide brand suppliers and processing companies with targeted support for these challenges.

The new grades are lighter in weight and have optimised and balanced visual properties for improved brand presentation. „Metsä Board is a pioneer and leading innovator for Lightweight premium board qualities, that are more environmentally friendly than conventional grades,“ says Kiviranta. „They consume fewer resources, energy and water, enable lower transport weights and reduce the amount of waste, which has a positive impact on the eco-balance over the entire life cycle of the packaging.“
With high natural whiteness
The new folding boxboard (FBB) range includes the uncoated, stiff grade MetsäBoard Natural FBB - NEW without optical brighteners, the unmodified grade MetsäBoard Classic FBB, MetsäBoard Pro FBB OBAfree - NEW as Improved quality without optical brighteners, with high natural whiteness and good printing properties. In addition, MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright - NEW as a versatile quality also with high whiteness on the front and reverse side and even more lightness as well as MetsäBoard Prime FBB Bright - NEW with a new bluish-white colour tone and a wider range of basis weights.
