Safety, productivity and quality are at the centre of the presentation of the Mettler-Toledo product portfolio at this year's interpack. The company will be demonstrating live on four production lines how food and pharmaceutical companies can benefit from these product inspection solutions when optimising their processes and securing competitive advantages.
They range from X-ray inspection and dynamic checkweighing to visual inspection and metal detection solutions through to software solutions such as ProdX™.
Mettler-Toledo is expanding its dynamic checkweighing portfolio with two new product lines. These offer up to 30 per cent higher performance and will be available in different sizes and combinations as well as with numerous additional options for the pharmaceutical and food industries.
Broad spectrum of X-ray inspection equipment
In live operation, Mettler-Toledo presents a broad spectrum of X-ray inspection equipment, The X3750 enables the complete inspection of glass containers up to 130 mm in diameter at an inspection speed of up to 1,200 products per minute. Like all X-series inspection systems, it also performs product integrity tests, from determining the mass to checking the sealing edges.
All four production lines on the stand were Visual inspection devices for a wide range of packaging applications. The solutions range from the entry-level product V2622 FlexLite to the high-end systems V2630 for the fully automated inspection of labels, imprints and packaging properties and V2410 Mosaic for the 360-degree inspection of round, unaligned packaging.
The Mettler-Toledo is fully in line with the EU Falsified Medicines Directive 4-in-1 complete system XS2 MV TE for Pharmaceutical serialisation. It combines an inkjet label printer, a smart camera for checking and verifying the print, a tamper evidence module for tamper-proof sealing of the packaging and a dynamic checkweigher for checking completeness in one compact device.
