Mettler-Toledo will be showcasing special solutions for foreign body detection and weight control in the meat industry at IFFA 2019, with various systems on display specialising in the detection of metallic contaminants in meat products.
Among other things, Mettler-Toledo specialises in Product inspection technologies and industrial Weighing technology for the food industry. In this respect, the supplier will be presenting IFFA 2019 with the HDS pipeline metal detection system HDS-PL is a solution specially designed for use in the meat industry to detect metal contamination. Thanks to the newly developed heatable feed-through tube, manufacturers of raw sausage products in particular can achieve an even more uniform product appearance. The robust and compact metal detection system enables the inspection of Sausage meat of all kinds and pumped products for metallic foreign bodies of all kinds.

X34 scores with high detection sensitivity
Presented for the first time last year at Anuga Foodtec 2018, the X-ray inspection system X34 will once again be one of Mettler-Toledo's attractions at IFFA. Meat processors benefit from the high Detection sensitivity. The X34 system recognises metal, glass, high-density plastics, mineral stones as well as calcareous bones and bone splinters.
New products can be set up automatically using the powerful operating software. This reduces the risk of operating errors and false rejects. The X34 X-ray inspection system is standardised according to Protection class IP65 protected against the ingress of dirt and water and also available in protection class IP69 as an upgrade variant.
Dynamic checkweigher has only a few horizontal surfaces
From the dynamic checkweighers of the C product range, Mettler-Toledo will be presenting the C31 StandardLine in the foreground. It is aimed at manufacturers and meat processors who are looking for a solution for checkweighing packaged and unpackaged meat and sausage products. The design of the checkweigher avoids horizontal surfaces as far as possible. This is a prerequisite for reliable hygienic operation in dry, damp and wet environments. The C31 StandardLine is also available as a space-saving combination version with a Metal detector available.

In addition to the C31 StandardLine, the exhibitor also has the C33 PlusLine and C35 AdvancedLine checkweighers in its portfolio.
Other exhibits on the IFFA stand include the visual inspection system V35 Round Line for the optical inspection of labels and packaging, the data management software ProdX for quality and production data management and data acquisition software Collect+ for stationary scales.
