With the T60 Integrated 360 series, Mettler-Toledo PCE presents a new product range for the serialisation and aggregation of small bottles and ampoules in the pharmaceutical industry.

The T60 Integrated 360 series from Mettler-Toledo now simplifies the serialisation and aggregation of small bottles and ampoules. With little effort, it can be integrate into existing pharmaceutical production lines. The T60 Integrated 360 series reads and verifies product and/or serialisation codes on round containers such as bottles and ampoules with 360-degree image capture.

The system verifies that all codes are machine-readable and ensures that the codes are not smeared, have no printing errors in the text and that the label has no other quality defects. Pharmaceutical manufacturers save time and money by checking the product codes on the bottles and ampoules. The Labelling process becomes simpler and there are fewer changeover times.

The T60 Integrated 360 series is available for two application areas: The T63 Integrated 360 Serialisation-solution verifies the serialisation data instead of a conventional „label-on-web“ application directly on the attached label. The system also ensures that the content of the label is correct and checks it for any printing errors. This ensures that only correctly serialised products with visually flawless labels are released for sale.

With the integration solution T65 Integrated 360 Aggregation is the aggregation of bottles and ampoules without the use of additional codes possible. Process steps prior to filling the secondary packaging, such as checking the helper codes attached to the base or lid, can therefore be omitted.

T60 Integrated 360 series for serialisation and aggregation

The T60 Integrated 360 series from Mettler-Toledo supports the serialisation and aggregation applications critical to the pharmaceutical industry for round containers with a diameter of 10 to 110 mm. Thanks to their compact design, the systems can be easily integrated into existing packaging lines can be realised. This ensures that faulty labels or invalid products are detected early on in the production process, thereby avoiding potential product recalls.

„Ensuring print quality on smaller ampoules is a real challenge for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Pharmaceutical manufacturers who print small codes directly onto individual containers can use the new T60 Series to ensure that the print is machine-readable and meets regulatory requirements. Whether they are serialising or aggregating, the T60 Series supports them.“ Marco Pelka, Market Manager at Mettler-Toledo PCE

The T60 Integrated 360 series uses a camera with six image sensors that provide a 360-degree all-round view of the products. Customers can choose between a liquid lens for codes with module sizes from 0.35 mm and a fixed focal length lens for module sizes from 0.2 mm. Both solutions use the Mettler-Toledo PCE Line Manager Software, which offers predefined serialisation and aggregation configurations. The systems are suitable for integration into a wide range of existing installations with PCE systems and can be easily combined with various third-party labelling solutions.
