Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection announces the presentation of new inspection and software solutions for interpack 2026. The focus will be on technologies for foreign object detection, weight control and data networking, which are designed to support manufacturers in the food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries with quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
At interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection will be presenting its current portfolio of inspection solutions for industrial packaging processes in Hall 11, Stand A60. Under the guiding theme „Inspect. Protect. Comply.“ the company will be demonstrating how product and packaging inspection can be implemented along critical control points in increasingly complex production environments.
One focus of the trade fair appearance is the global premiere of the new M50 R-Series metal detector. According to the company, the system is designed as the next generation of metal detection and is intended to combine greater detection sensitivity with increased productivity and simplified compliance with regulatory requirements. The series expands the existing portfolio and builds on previous models.
In addition to metal detection, X-ray inspection solutions for different packaging and product formats will take centre stage. The X3 Bulk Series, which was developed for unpackaged, free-flowing and loose products on conveyor belts, will be shown for the first time in Europe at interpack. The range is complemented by the X2 and X6 series for packaged products, which are designed to cover different line speeds and application requirements.
Weight control is also part of the trade fair presentation. With the C35 checkweighing system, Mettler-Toledo is demonstrating a solution that, according to the company, is designed for high line outputs of over 800 packs per minute. The system is designed to enable precise weight control, reduce underfilling and overfilling and support compliance with legal requirements, particularly in highly regulated packaging applications.
Networked inspection and integrated systems
Mettler-Toledo will also be presenting combined inspection systems that combine metal detection or X-ray inspection with checkweighing in a single system. These solutions are designed to reduce space requirements, simplify integration into packaging lines and consolidate multiple inspection steps. Depending on the application, additional functions such as label inspection can be integrated.
Another focal point is the ProdX software, which networks inspection devices along the packaging line and records inspection data centrally. According to the company, the software enables standardised documentation, auditable reports and improved traceability. The aim is to digitalise quality and compliance processes and reduce manual inspection efforts.
In addition, Mettler-Toledo will be providing information about its global service offering at interpack. Maintenance, performance checks and local technical support are designed to help ensure the availability of inspection systems throughout their entire life cycle.
