Plastics Europe Deutschland, the association of plastics manufacturers in Germany, has a new chairman. Dr Michael Zobel (left) was elected as the successor to Dr Josef Ertl by the members' meeting in Cologne.
Dr Ertl has been Chairman of the association since 2013. Born in 1969, Michael Zobel holds a doctorate in chemistry and began his professional career at Bayer, later Lanxess graduated. He has been Global Head of the Lanxess High Performance Materials division since 2010. He became a member of the Steering Board of Plastics Europe in Brussels in 2014.
