Microscan: MicroHAWK® UHD imager for decoding codes that are difficult to recognise

MicroHAWK's new ultra-compact UHD barcode readers enable traceability, date and time stamping, WIP tracking and recall management for electronic components and can decode even the tiniest data matrix symbols that are barely visible to the naked eye.

The limited space available for attaching barcodes or data matrix symbols to electronic components can be a real challenge. With the new MicroHAWK UHD barcode readers (UHD - „Ultra High Definition“) from Microscan, even codes that are difficult to recognise are easy to scan.

Regardless of whether it is an overprint label or an Direct Part Mark labelling (DPM) at a difficult marking location - the MicroHAWK UHD with X mode makes it easy to decode both. The new UHD capabilities are now available on all three MicroHAWK models ID-20, ID-30 and ID-40 with the SXGA 1.3 megapixel sensor option. Fixed focus option with 64 mm read distance for decoding 2D symbols up to dimensions as small as 2 mil on overprint labels or as DPM markings on the components. Fixed focus option with 400 mm reading distance for decoding overprint or 2D DPM symbols up to dimensions as small as 10 mil). An autofocus version will be available soon.

It is No software installation necessary. Any device with a web browser can be used to set up a reader and view the decoded data and barcode images in real time using WebLink, the intuitive interface for barcode readers.
