Optima has been offering the Optima Moduline for filling and sealing cosmetic products for 13 years. At interpack 2023, the company recently presented the Moduline Smart - the latest further development. The machines are characterised in particular by their modularity.
At the Interpack Optima presented the new Optima Moduline Smart filling and capping system for cosmetic products for the first time. This is characterised in the areas of Space requirements, modularity, format flexibility and delivery times out. The Moduline machine concept stands for flexibility: fast format changes, large format ranges, processes that can be expanded and modified via plug & play and many available special functions are the reasons for its success.
The first Optima Moduline was delivered in 2010. It is based on the Linoline machine platform. In the first project, personalised perfumes are filled in batch sizes of one. It is moving away from a fixed machine plate towards the flexible module arrangement, stations can be installed multiple times become.

The first System with the flexible SRS transport system will be delivered in 2013. The recipient is a long-established cosmetics company based in Germany. A laminar flow unit will be added to the Moduline for sensitive cosmetics in order to fulfil the highest hygiene requirements. This is used for the first time in combination with the Moduline. A milestone is the introduction of a frame rack in 2015, which makes it possible to Integrate robotic solutions.
At the Hannover Messe 2015, Siemens will be showcasing the enhanced Moduline. It can consist of components - bottle, label, fragrance composition, cap - to configure a customised perfume. Including personalisation or individual brand design. The first customer was none other than the former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

In 2017, Optima Moduline mastered the challenging cosmeceuticals - cosmetics with active ingredients that have health benefits - at a French company. Important here were the High dosing accuracy due to the valuable ingredients and extended hygiene functions such as a laminar flow unit and 3.1 certificates.
„The Optima Moduline Smart sets new standards in terms of space requirements, modularity, format flexibility and delivery times. This is not just a statement, but is based on many years of knowledge of the requirements of our cosmetics customers worldwide.“
Heiko Kühne, Managing Director at Optima Consumer

The Optima Moduline Classic will be launched in 2021 and revitalises the machine concept from the beginning. As in the past, the system is based on an attached Stainless steel frame, has more options for standardisation and thus enables short delivery times. „Thanks to the higher degree of standardisation, the investment costs are manageable, with the proven Optima quality and high output of 60 to 120 products per minute,“ explains Alfred Weihbrecht, Director Sales Cosmetics & Chemicals. As a rule, the Classic is used in high output range of 100 to 120 products per minute. Extensions are possible at any time thanks to harmonised interfaces.
On the Interpack 2023 Optima Consumer presents the Optima Moduline Smart. The system is still more standardised, the delivery times of the modules and the overall time-to-market are shortened. The experience gained from the high output segment was incorporated into the development of the new system. The Optima Consumer division is thus expanding its system portfolio in the medium performance segment. Initially, the system will process 60 products per minute, expansion to 120 products per minute is planned. The footprint has been reduced compared to the Optima Moduline Classic. Together with the digitalisation features from the Optima Total Care service portfolio, the Optima Moduline Smart is the new flagship of the Moduline range.
